This Privacy Policy explains what personal data NewsBeats collects, why, the legal basis for each use, and the rights you have. By using NewsBeats you acknowledge these practices. If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@news-beats.com.
1. Who Controls Your Data
The data controller is AUGUSTO ZANGRANDO SOLUÇÕES EM TECNOLOGIA, CNPJ 41.030.697/0001-20, located at Avenida Carlos Lacerda, 1525, Itaboraí, RJ, Brazil. For any privacy matter — including to reach the person responsible for data protection — write to support@news-beats.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account data: the email address you sign up with. Usage data: the news URLs you submit, the prompts and settings you choose, and the songs we generate, like, or add to playlists for you. Billing data: when you subscribe or buy tokens, payment is collected and processed by Stripe; we store the transaction record but never your full card number. Technical data: browser type, IP address, and basic usage logs needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure.
3. How We Use Your Data and Our Legal Basis
To create and run your account, generate and deliver the songs you request, and manage your subscription — basis: performance of our contract with you (LGPD art. 7, V; GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure, and to improve NewsBeats — basis: our legitimate interest (LGPD art. 7, IX; GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). To keep tax and billing records — basis: compliance with a legal obligation (LGPD art. 7, II). For optional analytics cookies — basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (LGPD art. 7, I). We do not sell your personal data.
4. AI Processing & Third-Party Providers
Generating a song requires sending your prompts and lyrics to AI partners that compose the music and synthesize vocals (currently providers such as Suno, Mureka, MiniMax and ElevenLabs). We send only the data needed to fulfill your request, and we do not send your name or contact details as part of the creative process. These partners process data under their own terms.
5. News Content & Public Sources
When you paste a news URL, we fetch the publicly available article so our AI can summarize it and write lyrics. We do not claim ownership of any source article and link back to the original publisher whenever possible.
6. Sharing of Information
We share data only with service providers that help us run NewsBeats — payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting and storage, analytics, and AI music providers — under confidentiality obligations and only on our instructions. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our users and the service.
7. International Data Transfers
Some of our providers (including Stripe, our AI partners, cloud hosting, and Google Analytics) process data outside Brazil, including in the United States. When we transfer your data internationally we do so to provide the service you requested and rely on the safeguards and contractual terms offered by these providers, in line with LGPD art. 33 and applicable law.
8. Cookies & Analytics
Strictly necessary cookies (sign-in, language, and your cookie choice itself) are always active and are not used for tracking. We use Google Analytics 4 only after you accept it in the cookie banner — until then no analytics cookies are stored and no usage data is sent. If you accept, Google sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure page views, sessions, and approximate location, and processes this data on our behalf; see Google's policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
9. Data Retention & Security
We keep your account data while your account is active. After you delete your account we remove or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep to meet a legal obligation (such as billing records retained for the statutory tax period) or to resolve a dispute. We protect your data with industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls; no system is completely secure, so please use a strong password.
10. Your Rights
Under the LGPD (and, where applicable, the GDPR) you may request: confirmation that we process your data; access to it; correction of incomplete or outdated data; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data; portability; deletion of data processed with your consent; information about with whom we share data; and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email support@news-beats.com; you can also access, update or delete your account from the Account page. We respond within the timeframe required by law.
11. Children's Privacy
NewsBeats is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and processing data of children and adolescents requires the appropriate consent of a parent or guardian under LGPD art. 14. If you believe a minor has used the service, contact us and we will remove the account.
12. Complaints & Supervisory Authority
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, contact us first at support@news-beats.com so we can resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) or, where applicable, your local data protection authority.
13. Changes & Contact
