Privacy Policy

NewsBeats ("we", "us") turns news articles into AI-generated songs. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NewsBeats you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect the email address you sign up with, the news URLs you submit, the prompts and settings you choose, and the songs we generate for you. Like most websites, we also receive technical data such as browser type, IP address, and basic usage logs. If you subscribe or buy tokens, billing information is collected and processed by Stripe — we never see your full card details.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to operate the service: generate songs, save your library, run your subscription, prevent fraud and abuse, send important account messages, and improve NewsBeats. We do not sell your personal information.

AI Processing & Third-Party Providers

Generating a song requires sending lyrics and prompts to AI partners that compose the music and synthesize vocals (currently providers such as Suno, Mureka, MiniMax and ElevenLabs). We send only the data needed to fulfill your request, and those partners are bound by their own privacy and processing terms.

News Content & Public Sources

When you paste a news URL, we fetch the publicly available article so our AI can summarize it and write lyrics. We do not claim ownership of any source article, and we link back to the original publisher whenever possible.

Sharing of Information

We share data only with service providers that help us run NewsBeats — payment processors (Stripe), cloud hosting and storage, analytics, and AI providers — under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our users.

Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your language and player preferences, and understand how the service is used so we can improve it.

Data Retention & Security

We keep your account data while your account is active and for a short period afterwards as required by law or to resolve disputes. We use industry-standard security practices, but no system is 100% secure — please use a strong password.

Your Rights & Choices

You can access, update or delete your account at any time from the Account page, or by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or restrict the processing of your data.

Children's Privacy

NewsBeats is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will remove the account.

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how NewsBeats is used so we can improve it. Analytics only runs after you accept it in the cookie banner — until then, no analytics cookies are stored and no usage data is sent. If you accept, Google sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure page views, sessions, and approximate location, and processes this data on our behalf; see Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Strictly necessary cookies (sign-in, language, and your cookie choice itself) are always active and are not used for tracking.

Changes & Contact

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will note the effective date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Questions or requests? Write to us at hello@newsbeats.com.
